Where is MAYDE based?
We're located in the beautiful suburb of Currumbin, on Australia's Gold Coast.
What does “MAYDE” mean?
When deciding on a name for our brand, we wanted something with a soft sound, representing the softness of our textiles, but also showing that our products
are not mass-produced and more unique. We loved the sound of things being “made” – hand “made”, “made with love”, “made with care”…and ran with the word ‘made’ but skewed to spell “MAYDE” to show the uniqueness of the product and
the brand. We hope this comes across!
Where are your products produced?
All our towels, throws and beach blankets are produced in Turkey and Portugal. We use only the highest quality cotton and eco-friendly dyes to bring you the best of the best. Our suppliers use OEKO-Tex certified yarns, a big tick in our books.
How do you decide on all your style names?
As a coastal brand, delivering products that are very coastal in their use, we decided to name all our products after Australia’s beautiful beaches and bays…
and all our Home products are named after some of the more stunning Australian suburbs. We’re a proudly Australian family owned company and we intend to shine
a light on this beautiful land as much as we can!
Where do you ship to?
MAYDE ships all around the
world! If you're visiting us from anywhere other than Australia, you can set up a currency that suits you.
How much does shipping cost?
We charge a flat fee of $10 for all orders - if you'd like to get your order quicker, Express Postage is available for $20.
For international orders, you will be quoted based on the total weight of your order.
When will my order be shipped?
We ship all orders Monday through Friday – all orders received in before midday are shipped same day. Any orders that arrive after midday are shipped next day (unless we’re super efficient and manage to squeeze it in on the same day – lucky you!).
When will I receive my order?
It all depends on where we’re shipping to – for domestic east coast orders, please allow 2-5 days for delivery. For WA/NT/SA, please allow 6-10 days. For
international shipments, general shipping is 3-10 days. Regardless of where you are, you will receive an email from us with your tracking information – you can then track your parcel 24/7.
What if I change my mind after I place my order?
That’s cool, we change our minds on the daily! Simply email us as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org explaining what you would like to change, as well as your order number – if your order hasn’t been shipped yet, then we’ll do everything we can to assist in your request.
I’ve received my order but I’m not so keen on the colour/thickness/pattern/etc –what are my options?
Though rare, it can happen! We are happy to refund or exchange your
item/s within 14 days of your order, however we don’t cover return postage on these. Please be sure to first email us at email@example.com along with your order number so that we can send you a returns/exchanges form – please fill in and send the form back with your item/s to:

I’ve received my order and there’s a fault – what do I do?
Whilst we take every measure to QC all our products before they leave the warehouse, sometimes a small fault falls through the cracks and makes its way to an underserving customer! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org along with any photo of the fault within 14 days of purchase, so that we can have a closer look at the issue. We will then send you a returns/exchange form for the product, as well as a return label to send the product back to us. You can let us know whether you’d prefer a refund or
exchange for a new product.
About our products
Some of these towels look delicate! How do I care for them?
It’s true! Some of our designs are a little ‘precious’ and need some TLC to stay beautiful for longer. Here are our tips…
1 | Wash in cold water, and hang outside to dry – don’t use any fabric softener as this prevents the cotton from breaking down and allowing the towel to be absorbent.
2 | If your towel is fluffing/pilling – we recommend you step it up and use hot water and half a cup of white vinegar in your wash. Some towels can be a bit stubborn and may take a few washes to sort themselves out. But keep at it – the cotton is just breaking down a little slower than usual, leaving fluff on the towel instead of completely breaking away. With a few extra washes, this should stop happening (you can also use a lint roller to get any loose bits off the towel).
3 | If you get a pull on any of your towels, particularly the thicker bath towels (such as the Rainbow/Crescent towel), simply use some sharp scissors to snip the loose thread off at the base, taking care not to cut into any other threads. Don’t worry, your towel won’t unravel!
How big are your towels?
All our towels are on average 90cm x 180cm – a lovely size that fits every body! Some towels differ by 5-10cm in length or width, but please visit the individual product page for precise sizing information.
What are the sizes of your ponchos? How will I know what fits me?
We have four sizes in ponchos, so we can fit everyone! Whilst they are all technically a “free size”, below you will find measurements of each style
so that you can see what fits your height and size best (measurements are taken from top of shoulder to bottom hem):
Men: 110cm(h) x 104cm(w)
Women: 100cm(h) x 70cm(w)
Kids: 78cm(h) x 53cm(w)
Tots: 62cm(h) x 54cm(w
